Many companies have benefited and can continue to benefit from the Next Generation Funds. In order to update information on the calls currently active and those planned for the immediate future, CataloniaBio & HealthTech organised a webinar to explain it in detail and answer questions. The webinar was aimed at the associated companies, focusing on the 2024 benefits in the areas of health, the digital transition, and the energy transition of companies, in collaboration with the Next Generation Office of ACCIÓ.

The webinar was given by Anna Borrell, consultant for the Next Generation EU office of ACCIÓ, the service that aims to raise awareness of the different business calls of the European Next Generation funds and encourage the participation of Catalan companies in strategic projects. With the final objective of maximising the return of Next Generation funds to Catalan companies, promoting territorial rebalancing, and generating employment.

The webinar attendees first learned about the status and new features of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. They also reviewed in detail the list of current and future funding lines: the PERTE Salud de Vanguardia, grants from the CDTI, the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Civil Service, industrial lines, programmes to support digital innovation hubs, programmes for Industry 4.0 and cybersecurity... among many others. Borrell also reviewed the services of the Next Generation Office and all the tools that companies have at their disposal.

The webinar ended with a very participative Q&A session, which allowed the attendees to share cases and learnings, contrasted with the speaker's point of view. The message to take home is clear: first define the strategy and then chose the grant, it is important to review future calls and to prepare in good time.
