CataloniaBio & HealthTech actions revolve around four strategic focal points to address the real needs and challenges of companies in the biomedicine and health arena in Catalonia:
Business cooperation and internationalisation: we promote relations and synergies among member companies as well as with stakeholders from other bioclusters around the world in order to generate opportunities for business and innovative projects that improve our quality of life. We also strive to encourage local talent and the creation of highly qualified jobs.
Attracting investment and funding: we identify sources of funding and grants for members, reach collaboration agreements with financial organisations and act as a catalyst to attract the interest of foreign investors.
Transfer of innovation and research: we promote communication and dialogue with universities and research centres to help the knowledge they generate reach member companies. We are committed to public-private partnerships and believe they play an important role in consolidating a knowledge-based economic model in our country. Additionally, we believe that knowledge transfer is key to making investment in R&D&i profitable and bringing the results of this research to the general public in the form of scientific advancements (new drugs, personalised treatments, etc.).
Communication: CataloniaBio & HealthTech member companies need to boost their visibility, so we create the internal and external communication channels to make that happen.
