Under the framework of the European Association for Cancer Research Conference Series, Dr Joan Seoane is promoting a conference on leukaemia inhibitory factor, entitled LIF as we know it. From basic science to clinical trials, on 28 and 29 May in Barcelona. Dr Seoane is Director of the Translational Research Program of the Vall d'Hebron Oncology Institute (VHIO) and co-Founder of Mosaic Biomedicals (member of CataloniaBio & HealthTech).

The conference will focus on knowledge being generated on LIF, which is the target of the Mosaic Biomedicals drug candidate MSC-1 that will begin clinical trials in 2018. The speakers will be global benchmarks in oncology. In addition to Dr Seoane himself, the event will feature Dr Josep Baselga of the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in New York, Dr Josep Tabernero of the VHIO, Dr Tony Hunter of the Salk Institute for Biological Studies of San Diego or Dr Manuel Serrano of IRB Barcelona, among others.
