CataloniaBio & HealthTech is organizing the first webinar of 2024 from the series GO International: Australia, to connect with the health sector in Australia. 

In this session, essential aspects will be addressed for companies in the health sector and those interested in getting to know the sector in Australia more closely. With a biotechnological ecosystem that is in full expansion, a growth of 40% in the last two years, and high-level research and development centers, Australia has also a powerful bio-pharmaceutical industry, medical technology, and digital health, as well as international leading networks and clusters in the sector. Additionally, Australia is a strong destination that ranks among the top three in the world for early-phase clinical trials. It has also national-level incentive programs and initiatives that promote continuous growth in research, development, and innovation, attracting companies and scientists from around the world. 

The session will be conducted by Austrade, the Australian government's agency for promoting international trade and attracting investors, which are experts in connecting Australian companies with the world and reverse; AusBiotech, an Australian life sciences organization with over 3000 members and a track record of over 35 years, providing representation and services to promote the global growth of the Australian health sector industry; and Southern Star Research, an Australian CRO organization based in Sydney, specializing in providing high-quality clinical research services for pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotechnology clinical trials in Australia and New Zealand.

• Rhenu Bhuller, Global Investment Lead, Ausbiotech. With a long professional career in the sector, currently focused on ensuring that early-stage and start-up biotechnology companies offer products and solutions that have a positive impact on society and the healthcare sector through strategy and investment support. 
• David Lloyd, Managing Director, CRO company. Founder and manager of Southern Star Research, with 30 years of experience in research in the academic, pharmaceutical, and CRO world in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Europe, and the United States.
