CataloniaBio & HealthTech is organising the third CEO Council session of this 2023. On this occasion, the special guest speaker is Núria Mas, currently a professor of economics at IESE Business School.

Following the line of the last two editions, with Antón Costas and Boi Ruiz as guests, the aim of this third CEO Council is to present and discuss the evolution of public policies in the health sector and the role of industry in improving the health impact of the population.

Núria Mas is a professor in the Department of Economics at IESE and holder of the Jaime Grego Chair in Healthcare Management. She holds a PhD in economics from Harvard University and a degree in economics from Pompeu Fabra University. Núria Mas was until recently a member of the Governing Council of the Banc d'Espanya. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Guttmann Institute Foundation. She was a member of the Advisory Council for the Sustainability and Progress of the Health System of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

What are CEO Councils?

CEO Councils are small-group talks with members of the boards of directors of start-ups and companies from CataloniaBio & HealthTech, where a prestigious expert or business or political leader is invited to share experiences and strategic perspectives for companies.

These sessions were first held in 2017, when Catalonia already had a consolidated business community and an ever-growing network of entrepreneurs in the life sciences and health.In addition to presenting topics of interest, CEO Councils also help strengthen the relationships of this invaluable group for the ecosystem.
